Dag Hammarskjöld, Markings
In the point of rest at the center or our being. we encounter a world where all things are at rest in the same way, Then a tree becomes a mystery, a cloud a revelation, each man a cosmos of whose riches we can only catch glimpses. The life of simplicity is simple, but it opens to us a book in which we never get beyond the first syllable.

I appreciate this Rumi poem, as well. One thing I've learned and for which I'm most grateful is not to have any regrets about those things I invited into my life (consciously, for the most part), despite the pain they might have caused. Everything contains a valuable lesson if we allow ourselves that. And each one left me in a better place, a place of increased understanding, a new awareness.
